There is an abundance of educational content available on various video hosting websites that teachers and students can use to explore topics they are covering. It is advisable that teachers watch videos in full before sharing them with students.

YouTube has a vast number of educational and informative videos that can be easily searched and shared with students via online platforms, email, etc. 

WatchKnowLearn has indexed approximately 50,000 educational videos, placing them into a directory of over 5,000 categories.

 

TED-Ed is TED’s youth and education initiative. TED-Ed’s mission is to spark and celebrate the ideas of teachers and students around the world.

TeacherTube is a free community for sharing instructional videos and content for teachers and students. 

Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. 

 

Vimeo is an ad-free video platform that hosts thousands of professionally produced videos.

 

SchoolTube 

This website allows Teachers and Students access instructional videos and content for lessons.

LANGUAGE AND LITERACY

Storyline Online 

Has a bank of storybooks read by celebrities. Each book includes supplemental material, aiming to strengthen comprehension and verbal and written skills.

The Literacy Shed 

A hub of thematic visual resources that teachers could use as content for lessons.

 Videos of story books for teachers to use in lessons with pupils.

Read Out Loud Archives

Videos produced in conjunction with children’s books authors and illustrators. Videos include read-aloud books, author interviews and literacy themed art tutorials.
