Leaving Certificate Art: Webinar - Autumn 2021

The rollout of Leaving Certificate Art National Seminar Day 2 which was due to begin in September has been postponed until early November. We continue to be guided by Public Health Information and PDST and all DE funded support services have been given instruction by the Teacher Education Section of the Department of Education not to engage in face to face CPD events until further notice as they consider the current Public Health information.

While we greatly regret being unable to engage face-to-face at present, we are delighted to be in a position to now offer an elective webinar that aims to support teachers as they begin working with 5th year students and the new Leaving Certificate Art Specification.

This webinar will give teachers the opportunity to:

  • reflect on the Strands, Strand Units and Learning Outcomes.
  • explore Visual Studies: Framework, Elements and Content Areas.
  • examine Content Area 3 and its four sections of focus.
  • consider planning for Teaching and Learning.

Please note, this webinar will be available to view afterwards on our website. This will allow you to engage with the material at a pace and time that suits you.

The webinars will take place through Zoom.
